Bible Class in Quito - The Students Took Notes

Twenty-two people gathered at the Panizo home for Bible Class. The first subject was an overview of the Old Testament. It was the first Bible Class from the series of topics requested by the Ecuadorians. The Ecuadorians have a strong thirst for a greater knowledge of the Bible.

Alex Panizo handed each of the participants a notebook into which to take notes. During the lesson each one could be seen diligently writing the high points. At the end of the Bible Class, Alex read his summary to the group.

The Christian understanding of the Bible as the Word of God and highest authority was stressed. The Old Testament as the promise of Christ and the New Testament as the fulfillment of the promise was given as a bullet point. The participants were asked to think about how the Word applied in their life and what kind of mind and heart they should have when hearing the Word.

Norma Torres prayed before Bible Class that she would understand the teaching.

Bible Class was a bit too long for two of the believers.
